Vernon Marriott Hart III

Vern, born on October 4, 1949, in the city of Baltimore, departed this world peacefully on August 11, 2026, surrounded by his beloved family. The son of Evelyn Markulik (Schisler) and Vernon Marriott Hart, Junior, Vern lived a life that was rich in love and laughter.

A proud veteran, Vern served his country with honor in the U.S. Air Force from 1969 to 1973. Following his military service, he pursued a career that showcased his incredible talent and love for craftsmanship as a cabinet maker. His skills and passion led him to establish his own successful carpentry business, where he left a lasting legacy through the beautiful work of his hands.

Vern's life was a testament to joy and camaraderie. A member of both the Eagles and the American Legion, he built enduring friendships and contributed to the community spirit. He could often be found riding his cherished Harley Davidson motorcycles, a pastime that filled him with exhilaration and freedom. Vern also found solace and happiness at his vacation home at Drummer Boy camping grounds, where he enjoyed many peaceful and joyous moments with family and friends.

Home was where Vern's heart truly belonged. His great sense of humor and love for his children, Jenn and Allison, were constants in his life. He took immense pride in his home, which was always filled with warmth and laughter. His devotion to Fran, the love of his life, was evident in every moment they spent together, creating a life filled with cherished memories.

In addition to his daughters, Vern is survived by his son-in-law, Dann, grandchildren, Miles and Mae, and his sweet pup, Missie.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate caregivers of Bridging Life Hospice and Dove House of Carroll County, whose kindness and support were invaluable during Vern's final days.

Vern's laughter, love, and legacy will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in peace, knowing he was deeply loved and will be forever missed.
