Richard Henckel Sr.

Richard Henckel Sr., of Baltimore, Maryland, was born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, on August 27, 1946, and passed away peacefully at AccentCare Franklin Square in Baltimore on June 5, 2026.

A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, Richard went on to serve his community for 25 years as a Baltimore firefighter. He loved working on cars and took quiet pride in a job done well, but his greatest joy was time spent with family. He cherished moments with his grandchildren and delighted in playing with his great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Henckel; his mother, Pearl Cramers; and his wife, Rosemary Henckel.

Richard is survived by his son, Richard Henckel Jr.; grandson, Ricky; granddaughter, Chelsea; and great-grandchildren Alex and Christian.

His kindness, dedication, and steady presence will be deeply missed by family and friends, and remembered with gratitude.
